Pau Calero created SK KAYAK in 2000 with the aim of teaching how to go kayaking by sea in a safe way.
He is a passionate of Cap de Creus and of the activities in nature. For some years, he has proposed with his team of biologists - graduates of INEFC, instructors of the Catalan Federation of Canoeing (Cat. 'Federació Catalana de Piragüisme') and Accredited Guides of the Natural Park of Cap de Creus -, a variety of experiences to put in value the Mediterranean fauna and flora and the marine history of Llançà in a sustainable and funny way. He organises kayak excursions throughout the Costa Brava and he is a founding member of 'Pagaia Club de Kayak Cap de Creus'.
Pau is part of the Ecotourism Table Plenary in Catalonia and he is in the Working Group of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism of the Cap de Creus Natural Park. He also collaborates in the UAB Eco-tourism Postgraduate course and he is founder member of the Association 'MONMAR'.
SK KAYAK collaborates with the project ' 'Iberaves de la SEO-Birdlife' and the project 'Dofins de Tramuntana de Submon'. It is also a collaborating company of the IAEDEN. It participates in the project 'Wildsea Europe Marine Ecotourism' and in actions of the campaign 'Let's Clean Up Europe'. Furthermore, it has the distinctive of 'Empresa Colaboradora del Parque Natural del Cap de Creus' (Collaborating Company of the Cap de Creus Natural Park).
Each year SK KAYAK organizes solidarity activities to collect funds for non-profit organisations.
